Massage School

Fourrier House School of Massage and Research Center brings a new dimension to the field of massage in Austin, TX.  The massage school offers the basic 500-hour Texas Massage Therapy Licensing program with a Native American point of view.  First Nation medicine men and women know that to promote wellness the healer must engage not only the mind, body, and spirit of their recipient, but also to awaken the recipient to the affect he or she has on the environment in which one lives.

Throughout the ages Native Americans have used touch therapy to enhance the quality of life of those who they serve. Similar to the graceful style of Swedish massage, this style utilizes an uninterrupted series of different strokes to move the flow of energy throughout the body.  On the reservation, this is called a dance or a ceremony. Flo is the proprietary form taught both as a singular practitioner style as well as in tandem.  Click here for more information about Flo.

Students are encouraged to include an additional 100 hours of advanced training that covers the other proprietary form called Body Tsunami, a unique tandem form fulfill in the water.  Click here for more information on Body Tsunami.

By providing these proprietary forms, Fourrier House School of Massage and Research Center gives our students a unique selling point when competing in the growing and ever more competitive field of massage therapy.
